Artificial turf originated in the United States in 1966. It was first used on the football field and was quickly applied to American football, baseball and soccer fields. Because artificial turf is more suitable than natural turf as a sports surface, so it has developed rapidly in the world. The artificial turf industry is more prosperous in Europe. After entering the 1990s, the development speed of the Artificial turf industry in Asia has greatly exceeded that in Europe and the United States. During this period, the development of the artificial turf industry in China is particularly good. It has been only 5-6 years since China first introduced artificial turf from abroad at the end of 1990s, but the growing domestic market demand has made artificial turf industry develop rapidly.

In 1999, China introduced imported materials to build the first artificial turf field, which started the promotion and use of artificial turf in China. With the rapid promotion of sport artificial grass in China, a large number of foreign artificial grass brands have rushed into the Chinese market. At present, there are more than 20 artificial turf manufacturers in China. In terms of scale, equipment, technology, product quality, sales ability and other indicators, there are only a few manufacturers with real strength. Other manufacturers are still in the stage of small factories and non-professional production, and some manufacturers are even converted from carpet factories. Moreover, most of these artificial turf manufacturers are concentrated in the south of China and Shanghai and other regions. Most of them lack brand awareness, market operation ability and professional management team and technical personnel.
